FAQ
Q: |
There are a lot of website development companies out there these days. Why should I choose First Impression Media to develop my site? |
A: |
It may sound like an incredibly overused expression, but we care. Yes, we actually do care about your business and about our clients as individuals. We don’t just sell someone a website package then move on to the next client. We’re committed to you on ongoing basis, through both the good times and the tough times and are on your side, for the long haul. We actually talk to our clients, working with them, not for them. We check in with our customers on a regular basis, to ensure that everything is working properly. If your sales are down, we work hard to come up with new ideas to help you make money. If a client isn’t happy, we work with them until they are and if we make a mistake, we fix it, every time. We don’t strive to make a lot of money from just a handful of customers. At First Impression, we believe our continued success is dependent on us having a large number of satisfied clients, telling their friends and business associates all about us. We also offer finance packages for websites and marketing programs, since we have confidence in our ability to always generate more revenue for our clients. At First Impression Media, our personnel have both corporate and retail experience, so we’re well aware of the obstacles faced by many different types of businesses. We also work with a very diverse group of companies, from many different industries. As a result, we’re constantly learning and gaining exposure to new concepts and ideas that we may be able to put to use for you and your business. |
Q: |
What kind of impact will my website have on my business? |
A: |
While there are never any guarantees, we’ve had tremendous success primarily because we’ve always been able to provide our customers with genuine results. The vast majority of our business is derived from referrals from satisfied clients and from our high ranking with search engines. Your website has the potential to affect your business by making more money from increased sales. You site can also save you money by reducing the commissions paid to sales personnel, plus save you both time and money by reducing your employees’ administrative tasks. |
Q: |
How is our website going to increase our presence in the marketplace and generate more revenue? |
A: |
Your website will provide increased exposure to new markets and also help you to capture a greater share of your existing market. Every day, some of your competitors are going out of business. As a result, their customers are looking for a new source for their products or services. Companies that recognize this and market accordingly will benefit considerably. Your website will allow new customers to find you, potentially increase your share of the market and make you more money. |
Q: |
What type of return can I expect on this investment? |
A: |
That will depend on your price point. If you’re selling high-end items and there’s a market that you simply haven’t previously penetrated, then you’ll see an immediate return. If you have a lower price point then you have to sell more items to get a return. Lower priced ticket items are easier to sell online, since there’s always less risk to the buyer. However, the key factor in any price range is reaching the right target market as inexpensively as possible. |
Q: |
How will you target my specific target audience? |
A: |
We develop your site design and content so that it’s directed at your target audience. We then register your site on search engines and directories where your clients may be searching. We’ll also use social media to create a following for you and make sure you remain on the mind of your customers, always. |
Q: |
Why will potential clients visit my site rather than those of my competition? |
A: |
Through a combination of attractive design, ease of use, content, functionality, search engine optimization and targeted marketing. |
Q: |
How visible will my website be on the major search engines? |
A: |
Search engine optimization or SEO is a separate service that we offer. Every one of our sites receives a generic registration package, but real success is derived from the implementation of an effective SEO package. |
Q: |
What is the projected life cycle of the site, before it becomes technically outdated? |
A: |
Most of our sites are built within a database that we typically upgrade every two years. However, this isn’t essential, unless there are new security upgrades or modules that aren’t compatible with the old version of the database. |
Q: |
Will I be able to upgrade the site in the future? |
A: |
The site is just like Lego. You can add to it, modify or take parts away, whenever you like. |
Q: |
What happens if First Impression Media goes out of business? |
A: |
All our websites are hosted on a secure server, prepaid in one-year increments, so if we go out of business, your site will remain online. When you need to renew, you will simply contact our supplier instead of us, with no interruption in service. Should you need to make site edits, we will recommend another company that has experience working with our websites. |
Q: |
What are the maintenance costs on the site? |
A: |
We build the site in a database and train you how to use it, so that you can make most of the changes yourself. However, we always provide support and guidance until you’re comfortable. The only costs involved are for additional services and anything that you’re too busy to handle yourself, it’s that simple. |
Q: |
How do your prices compare to other website developers? |
A: |
While we may not be the lowest priced developer out there, we certainly aren’t the most expensive. We provide a quality service at a reasonable rate, get the job done quickly and efficiently and have many satisfied customers, who are more than happy to recommend us to others. We have an hourly rate for smaller jobs, but are always happy to offer a discounted rate for larger projects. |
Q: |
Who owns the site when all the work is finished? |
A: |
The client always owns the website and all the content. It’s your property and you can do whatever you want with it. |
