The traditional way of viewing websites is changing dramatically. As mobile devices become more and more powerful, the number of users browsing sites on smart phones, tablets and laptops continues to increase and at the current rate and will likely exceed desktop browsers by 2015.
If your site is more than 2 years old, it probably doesn’t look very good desktops with the new releases of web browsers like Google Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer 10 and Firefox and definitely not on mobile devices.
To ensure that your site is user friendly and still looks good on smaller screens, a second version for mobile devices must be created or a responsive site programmed to sense the screen size and adapt the site images and navigation to fit.
Look at your site on an iPhone, BlackBerry or Android device. If it doesn’t look good, it’s may be time for an update.
